Hi, I’m CC, the doula behind Berlin Birth Doula. I come to this work with a deep sense of gratitude. I’ve been lucky to have protectors in my life, and it’s my mission to offer that same steady presence to others as they move through birth and the transitions that surround it.

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Berlin as a teenager. That experience shaped my love for cross-cultural connection and care. I later returned to the U.S. to earn my bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine, psychology, and Middle East studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In August 2025, I came back to Berlin to found Berlin Birth Doula and offer grounded, intuitive support to families here.

My background is in cross-cultural caregiving. I’ve supported newborns and toddlers as a nanny, lived and worked in the U.S., Germany, Italy, and Tajikistan, and spent time listening to the stories of displaced families and underserved birth givers. Pregnancy, IVF, child-rearing, and homemaking are lifelong interests of mine.

My decision to become a doula is rooted in a long-standing curiosity about pregnancy that has grown into a deeper calling to support and protect the agency of girls and women. This same conviction led me to study Farsi and begin working with the School of Leadership, Afghanistan, where I tutor students who have been denied access to education under Taliban rule.

Much of my commitment to this work is shaped by the challenges women and children face around the world, especially in marginalized communities. But my approach is never harsh or heavy-handed. It’s gentle, nurturing, and well-attuned to the person in front of me.

 

As a doula, I offer steady companionship and care. While always ready to advocate for you, my role is to bring calm and clarity into an already powerful space.

I speak English fluently, German at an advanced-low level, and Farsi at an intermediate-advanced level.
